Makilala MPS entraps two more suspected drug pushers at Barangay Batasan Makilala

DSC02031aaAs the joint elements of the Makilala Municipal Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (MAIDSOTG) and the Cotabato Police Provincial Office in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA) XII tightens their watch and monitoring on illegal drug activities in Makilala two more suspected drug pushers were entrapped in a buy bust operation.
PCI Elias Colonia, Officer in Charge of Makilala Municipal Police Station (MPS), identified the two arrested suspected pushers as Joven Dayag Garcia, 27 years old, driver and Rafshanjani Said Zainal, 20 years old, single, driver and both residents of Purok Durian Barangay Old Bulatukan.
Elements of the MAIDSOTG arrested the two suspects during a buy bust operation conducted at Sitio Flortam, Barangay Batasan at around 8:00 Pm last December 2, 2015 with pre-operation clearance with PDEA XII.
Garcia was caught in the act selling suspected illegal drugs with poseur buyer operatives and during a body search was found in possession of suspected “shabu.
Also recovered in the possession of Zainal who was with Garcia during the entrapment was one sachet of a heat sealed white crystalline substance believe to be shabu.
According to PCI Colonia the Makilala MPS will continue to relentlessly run after drug pushers operating in Makilala to stop the ill effects of drugs that destroys the future of Makilaleňos.
Furthermore, according to Makilala Legal officer Atty. Gary Vergara, as stipulated in Republic Act 9165 of COMPREHENSIVE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT OF 2002, article 5, selling of illegal drug is a non-bailable offense with the penalty of life imprisonment to death and a fine ranging from Five hundred thousand pesos (P500,000.00) to Ten million pesos (P10,000,000.00).
Mayor Rudy Caoagdan earlier on mandated PCI Colonia to take a strong stand against the drugs pusher operating in Makilala.
“In doing your job in maintaining law and order, in running after criminal elements, no one should be spared, and no one should be considered as above the law, pursue them relentlessly more particularly on our campaign against the use of illegal drugs,” Mayor Caoagdan said. /ocdeseo
