Mayor Rudy Caoagdan called on barangay officials of the Municipality of Makilala to seriously support the war on illegal drugs of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to save the future of the younger generation.
In his speech during the third day of the Training on Intensive Outpatient Treatment for People with Stimulant Use Disorder held at Eva’s Hotel in Kidapawan City, Mayor Caoagdan reminded some officials of 38 barangay of Makilala, who participated the training of their duty and responsibility to protect their constituents from the harmful effects of illegal drugs that may ruin their lives, dreams and aspiration.
He said that the President has been serious in his promise during the campaign period in 2016 to eradicate illegal drugs during his term as the President of the country.
Mayor Caoagdan also warned those officials involved in illegal drugs to actively stop and reform themselves, otherwise, he would not hesitate to send them to jail.
Mayor Caoagdan also urged barangay officials to proactively involve the children and youth in their respective community on various programs that could uplift their consciousness on the harmful effects of using illegal drugs in their lives and future.
The training was conducted by the Rural Health Unit of Makilala and participated mostly by officials from 38 barangays of the municipality, which ran from July 19-21, 2017.
