MAYOR CAOAGDAN TO STUDENTS: DREAM BIG TO BECOME MASTERS OF YOUR OWN DESTINY

2017-07-25-11-16-52Mayor Rudy Caoagdan challenged high school students of the Municipality of Makilala to seriously pursue their studies and dream big to eventually become masters of their own destiny.

Mayor Caoagdan posed the challenge as a reminder to the younger generation that one day they would become successful in their respective field and perhaps become leaders  of their own communities.

The Chief Executive was the guest speaker during the opening of the 2017 Municipal Meet held Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Ricardo Ipong National High School in Barangay Old Bulatukan.

He said that activities such as the Municipal Meet helped students to be physically prepared in their journey to achieve their goals in life.

Mayor Caoagdan bannered his Free Education Program to the students, saying that poverty would no longer be an excuse for parents to stop their children from sending to school due the implementation of free education from Kindergarten to College in the Municipality of Makilala.

During his speech, Mayor Caoagdan highlighted the coveted recognition, recently approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) en banc to the Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) as a higher learning institution in Makilala.

“I want you to pursue your dreams and aspiration in life because the LGU is always ready to support you to achieve them.” said Mayor Caoagdan.

Mayor Caoagdan also informed Public School teachers in Makilala that MIST planned to offer  Graduates Studies next year that would give an opportunity for the teachers to earn their Master’s Degree for free.
